Bob and Dekaff have corrupted me. They kept insisting that Spock loves kittens, so I drew Spock cuddling a kitten on the first page of the sketchpad that Dekaff bought me. Then I decided the kitten must be Uhura. So this is the picture, and if you click on it you can read the accompanying fanfiction.

It's so cute. How could I not have realised before that Spock loves kittens? It's just so obvious.

I shall be talking about Naruto shortly. But first, THIS IS COOL. I must anthropomorphise them. They could be the secretarial staff in my webcomic. Lots of arms = advantageous. There may also be spiders, as they also have many arms and come in pretty flavours.

I have been watching Naruto.Read more... )

The nice weather went away. *peers outside at the gloomy sky*

Oh well.

Res has set me up with a World of Warcraft character. I sort of see the appeal, I guess. It's easy enough to find quests you're capable of completing and you level up pretty fast to start with. Of course, after I discovered that you can declare your love for small furry things, I spent a lot of time cuddling rats, bunnies and chickens.
I am a zombie rogue, which means that I can be stealthy and pickpocket people. You'd think they'd notice the smell of decomposing flesh as I was creeping up behind them.

It's kind of sad though. I wandered onto a farm to steal pumpkins borrow a cup of sugar and the humans started chasing me with pitchforks. What did I ever do to them? They must have been confusing me with the other type of zombies who run around mindlessly eating brains.

And there was a quest where I had to kill puppies and bat-things and pretty spiders. This game is mean.

ETA: has anyone watched Dodgeball? It has Wash from Firefly as a pirate.

Ignore the deleted entry if it showed up, I was just checking whether this worked (I was asked for a transparent background and had never done one before.)
This will be a post about my weekend. By "weekend" I mean last Thursday to yesterday (Tuesday) - rather long for a weekend, but rats are fun-loving types.

There's a lot back here )

I've been doing art trades. Here's what I've drawn for other people:

Fu (pretty cat girl)
Myou (gothy bunny girl)
Twitch (for Dekaff - crazy stoner girl)

And this means I have various pictures of my fursona from random people. Here are some:

Fu drew me this (it appears here on her FA)
Myou drew me this
Dekaff drew me this
Yksi drew me this
And I got this from Helenbaby a while ago when she was doing free sketches. I should offer to draw her in return.

At the moment, I'm art trading with Shirik (a draguinea - that's half dragon, half guinea pig) and Murmur (a cat - but I'm drawing her tentacle monster character). They both have unusual characters, so this should be interesting.

Oh, and I have to finish a picture of Yksi and Rhosyn I drew a while ago.

And if any of you shiny people want pictures, you may ask. If you're a friend, I won't expect anything in return (trades are fun though.)

Not you, Bob. You are not shiny. (Well, yes you are, but I've drawn you already :p

ETA: I got this from Shirik (isn't it awesome?) and I drew this for her in return.

I shouldn't really post 2 days in a row, but I feel like I have enough crap to make an entry.

Firstly, yay on Obama winning the election. I don't care all that much, but it's good to see a coloured President etc etc. (Not just that, of course - he also happens to be a good candidate. Still the fact remains that our country is currently being run by a walrus. Britain needs change too! *mutters about electricity prices*)

Secondly, I've been looking up different forms of poetry for my creative writing module. Very boring, until I looked up Rubaiyat, which is a typically boring form of poetry that happens to have been parodied by a creative genius. Thus, I ask you to read The Rubaiyat of a Persian Kitten (with illustrations.)

More talk of Doctor Who )

Dear Disney: why are you so awesome? Kthxbye

Firefox cut out on me yesterday when I was watching Disney songs on YouTube (right in the middle of "My Lullaby" from Lion King 2 - foxy must've been scared off by Zira.) Every time I tried to open Firefox after that, it pretended I hadn't done anything, and Safari and Explorer weren't working properly.
I finally figured out today that I could get Explorer to work by telling it that I wasn't using the university's Proxy server any more. Then I deleted Firefox from my laptop and downloaded it again using Explorer to get to the site (version 3 - shiny). Now it works.

*bangs both fists against the Internets - and not in a kinky way*

At least it remembered all my add-ons and bookmarks. *pets Firefox and gives it a treat*

Yesterday we planned to go to the Balloon Fiesta and see the pretty balloonies. That pretty much failed when the rain rain rain came down down down. But all was not lost - we had plenty of cider and the world was our oyster.
That's a pretty good analogy as I'm probably allergic to oysters.

So... hung over this morning. But last night was pretty fun. And next week (not sure when or for how long) I have the house to myself. I suggest we have a crazy-mad rave par-tay sensible gathering in which we all drink tea and make polite conversation about politics.

*clears throat*
OK. I've been drawing furry porn. You don't really want to see it, but because you secretly do, here's my Furaffinity account. But don't look at it.

PS, I have an incredibly gay banner that I made. I'm going to make a post and change the date so that it's always at the top of my journal. It's gonna be awesome.

So I said goodbye to the duck ponds where we hunted for fairies and fought to the death. I said goodbye to the bush into which I vomited and the shower that I've shared with 4 people (not at the same time) (don't tell my housemates).
I even said goodbye to the vacuum cleaner, which may have given my mother the idea that I'm crazy.

Then I turned in my keys and went home. It was about an hour and a half after this that I got pounced and covered in dog hair. I'm not sure it's hit me yet that I can't go back to my room in Lafrowda.
Waitasec. I still have my second set of keys. Lafrowda hospitality services think I've lost them.

*laughs evilly*

Some things that are awesome:

A happy rat (by the awesome furry artist known as Cerberus)

An animation of the scene in Goblet of Fire with the kooky old guy wearing the dress.

Gay penguins.

I would've posted yesterday or a couple of days ago, but didn't feel like talking about the fact that I'm a terrible drunk and my boyfriend was going to undergo a life-threatening operation.

So... quick update on that front: Anti's still alive (and now able to go near microwaves) and I'm a terrible drunk.

Here's why I'm updating today: last night, as I was walking home, I was adopted by the most beautiful male cat I've ever seen. Here's the conversation we had (translated from cat language, which I - of course - can speak):

"Oh, most rare and radiant maiden... you are the loveliest vision I have ever set my eyes upon."
"Why thank you - but such a compliment could only come from a prince. Who are you and from whence did you come?"
"Such things do not matter in the here and now. I would be humbled if you would bestow me the honour of lying by your side in your sweet bedchamber tonight."
"Oh Sir Prince, the honour would be mine. Walk with me a while and we shall get to know each other better."
"My dear, I feel as if we have known each other since the beginning of time. My love for you transcends the stars and the very moon itself."
"I feel the same, my love. From the very second I set eyes upon you, I knew we were destined to be together."

So he followed me into my block, up two flights of stairs, into my flat, down the corridor and into my sweet bedchamber, where he proceeded to rub his head against everything and then jump onto the bed. When I cuddled up to him, he buried his head in my armpit and started purring. I had to let him out this morning, which turned out to be a good thing coz I was woken an hour later by someone from maintenance doing a room check.

And I don't know whether I'll see my prince again, but I'll always love him. That's how it is with cats. The way that they touch our lives is unique because they assume that they have a right to be in it and make themselves at home. Sometimes I still think about the cat I met outside the bookshop and wonder if I'll see him around again.

Also, I've just watched Ratatouille. IT IS GOOD. My favourite part: when the food touches the critic's lips and we're suddenly transported back to his childhood. I loved the fluid motion of the flashback and the realisation that he was a real person. I love that food can bring memories and emotions and I love that it was a movie about rats.
